Art enthusiast. Leader. Philanthropist- words to describe Dr. Cassandra Theramene; a native of Port-au- Prince, Haiti. Dr. Theramene proves that leadership has no age bracket with proud memberships in: Florida A M University National Alumni Association; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority; Miami-Dade Democrats; Haitian-Americans for Progress; and Board Member of Casa Valentina. After FAMU, while working in corporate America, she founded a 501c3 non-profit, Scholars Today, Leaders of Tomorrow, Inc., where she mentors and develops youth, while providing scholarships to females of Haitian descent interested in pursuing a college degree in Business, and to her college preparatory students at Miami Edison. Through a Wells Fargo Bank partnership, she co-produces a television segment on Island TV, “Fiscally FIT”: aim to create entrepreneurship, increase family wealth, and eliminate financial literacy disparities within the Haitian community. A love of international business and politics, Dr. Theramene continued at the University of Miami, receiving an MBA in International Business, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Global Leadership Development in Foreign Markets from Argosy University. Wanting to help reshape foreign economies like Haiti, she began a career as an International Business Developer, where she oversees and travels to 12 Caribbean islands and the U.S; all while preparing dynamic business students as a College Professor at Barry University and City College. She has been given several awards for her tireless community work and leadership, but her greatest love is to serve those in need and leave a legacy worthy of her contributions to the Haitian community.
