Appoints Pierre A. Saliba as Chairman

The Haitian-American Chamber of Florida is pleased to announce the appointment of Pierre A. Saliba as its new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Saliba, previously served as the Chamber’s Treasurer and a member of its Executive Committee. Other officers of the board include Munir Mourra, past chairman and current Vice-Chair, Raoul Siclait as Treasurer and Paola Pierre as Secretary.
 
Pierre Saliba is a manager with the prestigious firm of Foodman and Associates PA.  Mr. Saliba has more than 20 years in public and private accounting, focusing on a broad spectrum of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing and not-for-profit organizations.  He joined the firm in 2002.  Prior to that,         Mr. Saliba worked internationally in the garment industry as a cost accountant and production manager from 1986-2001.  
 
Newly appointed to the Board of Directors are Michäel Vorbe, Vice-President of the Commercial Banking Group at Citibank and Jeff Lozama, President of CMS International Group Corp., a premier exporter in high quality building materials. Reappointed to the Board were Henri-Claude Muller-Poitevien, Charles Fombrun and Guilène Theodore

The Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida was established in 2005. Its mission is to serve as an advocate for its communities as well as a resource for consumers and businesses dedicated to serving both the needs of its members and the economic development needs of the broader Haitian American Community. The Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce also promotes investment and trade with the Haitian private and public sectors.
